The Tech Challenge 2026: Raise The Roof Showcase

The Tech Interactive
Now in its 39th year, The Tech Challenge invites teams of students in Grades 4-12 to use the engineering design process to solve a real-world problem.
The Tech Challenge Final Showcase is the program’s big finale, on April 25 and April 26, a weekend during which teams interview with judges, demonstrate their devices on a test rig and present their engineering journal. It is an inspiring event enjoyed by participants, advisers, family and friends! -
Space Exploration Weekend

Space Exploration Weekend (May 1-3) is the Bay Area's premier family-friendly space event, celebrating humanity's return to the Moon through NASA's Artemis program. This three-day event invites kids and adults to experience real space science through interactive activities.

The Tech's Educator Workshop Series: Bioengineering and Math

Discover how bioengineering can inspire students to see the connections between science, design, and mathematics. In this creative, hands-on session, educators will explore the basics of biodesign through activities that blend art, biology, and math to promote interdisciplinary STEM learning. Participants will experiment with 3D design and take home ready-to-use ideas for integrating biodesign into classroom projects or after-school programs. 9AM-1PM

Each day campers will make a new product from scratch as they tinker with biology to create paints, sustainable fibers and building materials, and so much more.

Join us for the launch of our first summer camp experience, where students entering Grades 3-6 will Create, Adapt, Make, and Play!
There’s more than meets the eye in Ultimate Upcycle! Campers will use cardboard and other recyclable materials to design and build an item or device that must be able to transform into a second fully usable item or device. From a car to a robot, the design opportunities are endless!
Weeks offered: June 29-July 2* and July 6-10
